This puzzle is called the Dog Brick and works by first removing the white bones, then sliding the disks to the side. I've lost two of the bones, but it still provides a challenge. Under each disk and bone are a few kibble. The semi-clear smear in the third bone section is coconut oil - just because it's a different method of eating doesn't mean he can't still have his supplementation!
I found it pretty interesting how often Cody used his mouth versus his paws. Broadly speaking, rat terriers are a very paw-oriented breed and will often use their paws before using their jaws. Cody seems to run contrary to that, but I knew from the start that Cody is a unique boy!
Afterwards, Cody recovered a bully stick he hadn't finished from the night before, and instead of taking it to the love seat or papasan chair, he brought it over and chewed right by my leg. He is so people oriented and such a sweet, loving guy. We just sat for a while, him chewing his bully stick with his rear end up in the air, and me enjoying hanging out with him during this time of calm.
